Ryan explores how people endure, shape culture, and make meaning from the stories we tell and the stories we forget. His work looks at how myths build reputations, how legacies survive or vanish, and how memory is made and challenged. He examines who is remembered, who is erased, and how some comebacks are genuine while others are mostly PR. After years helping others tell their stories through writing and performance, he now focuses on the narratives that matter most to him—those that challenge power and uncover truth.
Ryan lives and writes in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He’s available to travel for speaking engagements throughout the United States and abroad. He is represented by Giles Anderson of The Anderson Literary Agency.
